Welcome, to the madness.
I saw your Orc traveller earlier today and like the sculpting.
Following that level of work, you do realise that we\'ll expect the painting to be of a similar standard. (we are seriously hard task masters here................Yeah Right!)

Welcome! awesome first posts, let me know if you need anyone to paint them :D

okok, anyway, it\'s always nice to have more talented sculpters around, and the more posts the better, maybe some of it will rub off on me one of these days...

Superb Orc and quite original too.

Welcome,,,,I suppose if you like films like 1000 corpses then you should fit right in here. Not that I have seen it though I did get to see Last house on the left, zombie flesh eaters and sex world when I was 13.That left quite an impression.

Perfect sculpting, but I\'m not so keen on the overall \"feel\" of the mini, hence \"only\" a 9 :)

Look foward to seeing more.

first, thanks for the welcome :)

house of 1000 corpses is probably one of my favourites:) i remember when i first heard that Rob Zombie was doing a film the rumours were that it would be animated and a bit like batman....they couldn\'t have got it much more wrong could they :)

as much as I would love to get the orc cast he was taken from a rackham concept so he will have to be a one off :(
still, as soon as i get round to painting him I will post shots.

I am talking with a few others about getting some stuff cast but it\'s quite hard to find time to get everything that i want to do done.....work=bad :)

this is a shot of one of the pieces that i want cast, sorry, it\'s wip ( see above )

She is an experiment in doing big clothing on a thin frame, i will be doing her arms naked to emphasise that she\'s quite thin.
The angle of the torso will make sense once the arms are on....honest (well i hope that they will anyway *crosses fingers*)
The head is up at an angle at the moment, it will be bent to position when its baked, I find it easier to sculpt faces this way :)

I will post it properly once she is done :)

once again thanks for the welcome.

:wow::wow::wow::wow:

OOOO! cast that one, I love the sculpt and how you have done the cloth. VERY Kill Bill, and thats a good thing. The differing proprotions will work very well (IMHO). I do think the Orc is a great sculpt, but the market is AWASH with orcs and such. But if you finish off the Kung-Foo sword lady as well as you have started, Hubba Hubba!!!!

Put me down for one :D

And welcome!

Welcome to the forums Capt!! I am really quite impressed with the level of skill shown in your work, excellent stuff! Have you been sculpting long? (and don\'t say these are your first attempts or I\'ll have to find you and break your fingers ;) )

Let me just be the first to say:

\"Hooray for Captain Spalding, the African Explorer!\"

I can\'t believe I was the first. Oh well,
\"Hello, I must be going.\"

\"Ooooooooooh!\"

Those are great. I\'ll buy \'em if you get them cast up! The chop-suey lady looks a real winner.

Nice first post!;)

morning :)

once again thanks for the comments, here goes:

my fingers are safe :)

what are you using to sculpt in?

fimo, champagne 002 to be exact. I\'ve used green stuff in the past but i sooooo prefer fimo, it allows me to walk away from a figure when i have to and not rush a piece cos it\'s drying. swordgirl for instance has had about 10 hrs work done to her but thats over a space of about 4 weeks!! in the photo\'s at the moment she\'s still all wet, i havent done the first bake yet (which is a time of dread!! :D )
