OK, like alot of folks, I am bugged by GW\'s latest shennanigans(sp?) so I decided to look at Confrontation. Please, someone help!!! I can\'t decide on an army so I started buying one or two of each to decide-----AND I WANT \'EM ALL !!!
Anyone else have this disease? Or a few hundred bucks to donate to the Electrikeddie Confrontation Fund??lollol

I\'m just starting out with Confrontation, but not for playing the game. I decided to only paint and collect Confrontation (for now).

My advice to you: only buy what you think you can paint. Buying a whole army in one go will decrease your painting quality because you are rushing too much .

Oh yeah, I\'ve got it. It\'s quite contageous too... everyone that sees a Confrontation figure seems to come down with it. Symptoms are frothing at the mouth for the mail to come in, royally p!ssing off your local game store who can\'t get them in stock, and your significant other burying the credit cards somewhere in the backyard. Plus around the first of the month you start to do a little dance called the \"New Release Shimmey\"... No, it\'s not pretty.

Even if you can hold off buying them you get the new release jitters. I haven\'t bought any for three months but every time I see the new releases I go, \"ooooh. I gotta have that...\" Thank heaven that I\'m already broke or I\'d be burried in toy soldiers.

Yep, I just love those Mid-Nor dwarves and I want ll the special editions! (Never going to happen, but it\'s good to try..)

Rackhams are tooo nice.... may have to learn the rules and persuade the missus to have a game.... on second thoughts... that\'d be two armies and a heckuva lotta painting..

Anyone in the UK know if Le Corbeau is available anywhere apart from France?

I have to confess, I am totally hooked. Confrontation minis just cry out to be bought, collected and painted.
My choice of army was easy however, Wolfen just rock, IMO, and being an old git they are reassuringly large and \'easy\' to paint.:flip:

I think my favorites are the Lions Of Alahan--those horses are awesome!! Then I think it\'s a toss up between the Wolfen and Devourers--but the Kelts are cool....oh wait!!! The orcs!!! I really like the wolfen and have got a small army going on... 2 warriors, a repentant wolfen and now Irix the Sybil, but nothing worth playing with yet!

I just buy anyone of the minis from rackham that catches my fancy...

Although it seem now that I got more griffons than any others...then as a hindsight, I decided that I have a griffon army.

However, now it seem that my wolfens outnumbered my griffons, so guess what, I now have a wolfen army.

But I decided not to play with them...too beautiful (i mean the minis, not my paint job. Moreover, most of them unpainted...sigh)

Currently, I am broke and unable to purchase anymore. But like others, I simply cannot wait for my bank account to fill up again.

I picked up a few conrontation mini\'s and i Just love them. (For the amount of detail) But can\'t read any of the lil\' booklets that came with them (they\'re in french). Wow... Why didn\'t i discover these minis eailer??

I just bought a Kayl Kartan (sp?). He\'s my first Confrontation mini. The minuite he came out of the blister pack I was hooked! They have got to be the most detailed, best looking minis I have ever seen. As Chrispy said.... Must.... Improve.....Pathetic.....French.....In.....Order.....To.....Read.....Rules.........Any English copy avaliable? I wish i could by more Confrontation minis but I\'ve got no $$$

If you can\'t get the English Rules and you want to be able to play quicker without looking up translations, Rackham is now selling English editions of the minis. You can get them on their site or ask at your favorite place for Rackham figs!
