It\'s looking nice so far. Liking the skin tone. I would black out the entire eyeball and go over the white again leaving a small black outline to seperate it from the face. :)

That\'s getting a lot better really quickly. Good work now paint more Termis :D

Anyway I highly recommend switching your bone/earth tones over to P3 or Foundation colors, they are a ton easier to use. As the others have said so far, P3 paints can cover over anything really easily (some times as good as Foundation paints, but without the side effects of being crappy to mix and water down).

They are likely to improve your speed more than your skill right now, but the solid coverage should make the models less splotchy which is always a plus.

Baz: i\'m actually having a hell of a time making eyes that look \'alive\'... i had a tough time making the iris look nice and round and centered like that but it doesn\'t have any emotion to it.. i\'ll try your idea there and see how it looks. Any other ideas on eyes? What size brush do you use for eyes?

Jericho: I definatly need to pick up some foundation paint. forgive my ignorance but what are P3 paints?

also out of curiosity and for my own frame of reference what would you guys rate my last model (aside from the fact that it isn\'t based and the background is a piece of paper-towel :p), i\'m only really going for table top quality right now but as i get more \'comfortable\' at painting i\'d like to try to make some display models eventually as i\'m really enjoying myself so far. right now i think i\'m aiming for 6ish

as an example these models here:

http://www.coolminiornot.com/353

each have around a six and i *think* my paint job looks around equivilent

excellent work on your model, looks really good (minus the base obviously)

personally i would rate urs slightly higher than the 2 eamples u gave, very nice work!

for eyes i normally paint all black (as said earler) then put 1 spot of skull white either side which leaves the black line still showing and gives a little depth.

i use a fine detail brush for this and be patient cos too much white can cover the black line u want to leave.
