Help finding Professional Tutorials and learning resources.

Hi all, ok so before i get to my question id like to give you a quick rundown on my hunt for "painting" knowledge.
The last 2 weeks i have spent over 20 hours watching and reading many tutorials on painting miniatures (warhammer 40k mainly), so far i have gathered a lot of knowledge on different techniques and a understanding on how different paints and tools work yet i still feel there are many more learning resources out there could benefit from.

So my question is if you could recommend me your top 5 or so advanced learning tutorials (video or written i dont mind)?.
I also have heard that there are dvds done by professional miniature painters at a cost if you could also recommend some of your favorite? i would be grateful.

Also i wouldn't say i'am a total beginner as i have had some experience painting warhammer 40k a few years ago and before that as a kid, don't know why i gave it up :(.

Thanks for taking time to read my post and sorry if this has been asked before i am fairly noob to these forums.

All the information you get in those paid for packages is available for free elsewhere. There's so much info out there, you don't need to pay for it. There's no real "secrets" anymore. I'm not even suggesting the illegal copies. Just the huge world wide web of info, given free and clear. A web search, a forum search or just checking the stickies above this thread or the articles section, here, will yield more results than you can go through in any reasonable time frame, for any specific technique or application you're interested in.

If you really just want to pay someone...this question comes up every few days so I'm sure the usual suggestions will start rolling in shortly. ")

sooo true :D, I just love the tutorials that are there :)

Also all the tutorials don't help it you don't practice. It sounds great if you know the theory, but don't have the brushcontrol for it.

But for your question:
- Jeremie Bonamant DVD
- MV site (free)
- figurines-tv.com (some really good free videos)
- MiniatureMentor videos (altough after a point they can be classed as "watching paint dry", still I really like them, Especially the first one and the 2 with Ben Komets
- One of the Jennifer Haley videos (doesn't matter which one, but because of the selected minis I like the CMON one more)

I can't agree enough. Lots of fantastic information and it's all free!

I've also found the MiniatureMentor videos helpful. You can buy individual videos, but if you want more than 2 or 3 it's probably cheaper to just subscribe to the site and get them all. The production value on the videos and painting talent is very high. The only thing to be wary of is they are, for the most part, geared towards a lot of advanced techniques and most assume a certain amount of experience and skill. I'd definitely recommend beginning with the first video before jumping to any of the more advanced topics.

Also check around here for advice. There have been a number of recent posts from people new to painting, so those are worth reading over

I absolutely love the Miniature Mentor ones. It's also a pretty incredible value to subscribe as you can download all the videos which is 30+ hours of HD video. They can be "boring" in a way because they actually show you every brush stroke where it matters. To me this is great, because you can always skip through once you get the idea, to get to the next bit.
