help finding reaper paints.

hi guys, could anyone please help me, i am trying to find some where in the UK were i can get reaper paints as shipping from the US is ho so high, are there any UK painters out there that use these paints and if so where do i get the from, online or other. hope you guys can help.

Have you checked their shipping recently? My understanding was that they had improved their shipping rates considerably. You could also go straight to the source and ask on the forums at reapermini.com, the employees are usually pretty quick to answer questions like that.

I didn't find any reaper paints when I wanted some in the UK either. In the end I bought them from the US. The cheap prices were okay even with the postage but it was the import tax that hurt.

ok make sense. but to me it feels its much luck/unluck if you get smashed with tax or not. ive bought a lot of stuff from us and the only time ive got unlucky was when i bought a camera (which wasnt marked with gift). maybe a "high risk" product on the other hand...

I've been hit with taxes several times for quite low values. 400-500 SEK. Didn't matter that it was marked as gift. If you want to avoid taxes you need to mark down the price. If the customs slip says $30 they won't bother. But then you can't insure the contents, if you wish to do so.

The worst thing that happened to me was when I had lent out a painted mini to Wyrd Miniatures to be displayed at GenCon. When Nathan sent the mini back to me (my own mini) he insured it to a value of $100 or so... marked it as gift. I was charged 350 SEK for my own property! I filed a complaint, and eventually I didn't have to pay, but it took my two months to get the bloody mini back.
