Hi all, i\'ve just done the two wardancers, managed to geth them both done today, so sorry they are of poor quality, (the pics suck too) but hopefully they are adequate, i will be able to do more stuff after gd hopefully to better quality, yesterday, after a long ordeal with my prefered university, i was informed that i would infact be starting the course there...today, which came as a bit of a surprise and has really got in the way of things, and everything is a mad rush. But it is best in the long run.

Tracy i have sent you a pm (i need a bit of info) cheers, Joe.

Just got started on the first of my waywatcher. I know... I got them quite a while ago, but I\'ve been completely empty on how to paint them. I know green on the cloaks but the rest was a bit of a challenge. I\'ve figured out the paint scheme now. They sure are alot more detailed then any of the other warhammer models I have... There seems to be some issue with my metals, they went on nice be dried grainy... They were watered down even more than I usually do. I think it might have been the primer but I\'ve only experienced this problem on the sword so far... Stupid hood covers so much of the face it was even harder to paint the eyes (I hate painting eyes, but I\'m getting better). Don\'t know when I\'m going to get them finished, but I\'ll do it as soon as possible (hopefully before university really gets going on me). Everything looks good everyone, keep up the good work.

Just a quickie for now, I have four of these steed in various stages of produtction, I intend to get eight done but the other four will be a different colour to give the unit some variety. I am hoping to be able to get these done quickly but like I mentioned I will be away for a few days so we\'ll have to see how it goes. I\'ll get on with them today and also start the riders as well.
Anyway here is the most advanced of the horses as it is at present.

ElfSteedWIP1.jpg

there is deeper shading than appears in the pics, I\'m afraid the light souce has washed out the image a little but then that is the problem when taking photo\'s of white based minis, anyway more pics when I get some more done.

I was told that the Glade Guard and other broken-up Units would be painted to the Spring Theme, but the Lords and other Heros could be painted as we liked.

Didn\'t mean to rock the boat, just thought it would stand out a bit more when up for Auction, I haven\'t seen one of these painted for winter yet.

The riders will be painted in the spring theme, however after reading the fluff in the army book I saw the Woodelves as being the ghosts of the forest so I tried to paint the horses in a Ghostley appearance maybe it doesn\'t show up that well.

Yep, I was told, since we\'re just selling characters individually, they didn\'t really need to match a theme. I like the winter theme on them actually, nice work there!

We Have the First Mini to Return!

@darkartminiatures You are with the team doing waywatchers that is why the spring cloaks... you got the minis much faster because DR was willing to help in the mailing for the UK (thank you Mike!)
It is only the troops that the cloaks are requested to be spring. We would not blend if not, spring was chosen from my observations on ebay... many bidders buying troops of such prefer them to look \"like the catalogue\"
Now if when your done you want to go crazy with a hero or any other mini for that matter.... we can use as many as we can get ... hint hint.
Thanks EricJ
jokersminiatures you gonna have to work much harder than that to cause a stir :D
Tidoco my what a pretty pony have you done alot of horses? Ghostly sounds Right and if anyone can pull it off it is you. Please no worries about time for you remember?
Alert :flip:
The mail man just rang my door....we now have the first official mini in house Glade guard #15 Gin\'s mini has arrived, pictures did not do it justice the cloak is awesome Gin and another elf finds a good home.

errrr, ummmm, lots of time??? I don\'t know how to explain much better. For the sword I took examples of a few different painters and sort of tried to combine them into something like you see...as for blending, lots of thin thin layers for shadows and highlights? I know that\'s not very good explaination, but but, perhaps I\'ll be able to explain better once I\'ve a little distance from the piece :D

Eric, that is amazing, and you know it lol

The combination of firstly bieng a very sort after miniature and secondly having an outstading paintjob should raise plenty for the charity (£100 +???) i\'ve seen it happen before. Good work everyone. :)
