Tracy, you have a painting team? I know that your on the east and I\'m on the west but I\'d paint on your team for free. Just suply me with the minis to paint and I\'d do it. I don\'t really care if I keep the mini I only care that I had fun painting it.

Unfinished figs / kits for WOH

I will be asking Tracy to donate the following kits to offset her expenses and
/ or donate to the cause. All kits are complete and unstarted.
All will be mailed by me from Northern New Jersey.
I just need to take some photos for Tracy\'s benefit.

If this goes well, I may make a second pass and go through my stuff again.

This is a great opportunity to get a rare or favorite kit, help the cause directly and ...maybe....
recycle and donate the finished item back into the cause...hmmm...

Thank you cf , I am keen for you too, If it blows here much more I may move ...but snow??? not with my thin blood I\'m likely to die I fear.
They have evacuated the Keys today, If we have wind issues I have a generator so I will not stop progress. I am hoping selfishly it slides south as they are charting and I feel bad about that but the Great Dane endorses my sediment.
Angus sure you can paint with us anytime but be warned I do not take commissions cause it just kills all the fun for me.
EDIT PS.. GW family has been very good to us. I am thankful for them so kind and sharing. Most of our auctions and the first of the many to arrive is GW staff born. Call the mail order department.ask them about WOH they will tell you who we are and where we are and what we are doing...kid you not they got great employees !
I would not trade them for the world.

Well, I really have been painting, just got super busy this last week, here is where I am on the \"Frickin Tree Kin\" this this was a MOTHER to put together, and fittingly enough, the is an adopt an elf, adopted by Green Stuff, and I had to GS the Heck out if him, (my first time with GS too:D )

and how, my only question, should I bring the highlights on the bark up more? I am still doing the vine, the lil critters, and the face, just wondering if the bark is ok?

@Gin: Well, from my experience of asking the same question, \"Do I need more highlights?\", it seems that if I have to ask, the answer in usually \"yes\". I really like what you\'ve got going there, but if yer askin, I say yes.

@Gin : The bark effect is really great on his right leg. You might want to highlight a bit more his face and do a light brown wash on his right arm.

Maybe it\'s the picture, but your base color for the vines seems a bit flashy ... unless you\'re going for a magical eerie feel to it.

Nice work Gin :).

@Calypus : your work on the feathers is so meticulous. Looks a lot like Jo\'s fur technic but adapted to feathers. Don\'t be surpised if people ask you for a tutorial (Oh, now I\'m in deep trouble :p).

Gin, I think you got the highlights about right, but you may want to darken the shadows. (dark brown ink or wash?)

Calypus, that is one sweet red-tail.:eek:

CFWHEELER, those are some great sets, I\'d be glad to bid on some of those, even moreso seeing how the money goes to charity.


I\'m willing to give up my money and time to help out, but giving minis away is something else entirely. Talk about giving til it hurts!! OUCH!lol

I\'ve never even tried to sign a mini. Can\'t even think of where I should have put it. But, since the first one is already in Tracy\'s hands, I\'ll just have to figure that out the next time.

Tracy, is there a way for you to mark it?

LP I told the man no it was not, but if he wanted, we would send it to the artist to have signed...and you thought you were not important but you are the only one with the question..I had to giggle.

Tracy- The pics look Great with the dark background!

I\'m going to work my initials into the spiral work on the Female Spellsinger, but normally I just do the base signature.

==edit== The 2nd Spellsinger arrived today, I\'ll knock out his fugly butt as soon as I am finished with the other one.
