Anyone know who makes these? No identifying marks that I could find anywhere, and they are about twice the size old Ral Partha or Grenadier minis.

Have you looked at the archives at Orclord\'s site, Stuff Of Legends? He has a large list of old minis by manufacturer. Some with links to pics. If you sent him this photo, he might be able to help you identify it.

Stuff of Legends

Also, there are a few big painters who are collectors. If I remember right from talking to them after Atlanta a couple fo years ago, Angela Imrie\'s husband has a large rare collection.

That collection has gotten much bigger since then too. :( We\'re overrun!!

But unfortunately, these I have never seen before.

Treide: Is there absolutely nothing on the bottom of the base? a year? Maybe a small arrowhead symbol (alternative armies) or something? Are they soft and bendy like lead or stiff like a pewter?

If you are really, really stuck try posting this question on http://www.frothersunite.com/. Just don\'t do it from your workplace.:D

Sorry I haven\'t replied to everyone - I have been off the boards for awhile due to being crazy busy at work.

@SaxonAngel - they are definitely lead, and there are no identifying marks on the bases. In fact, the bases look as though they were probably filed down - maybe they were uneven originally?

Thanks for the Frothers tip - I may try that.

@THuff - I am very familiar with the Stuff of Legends website, but I haven\'t had time to browse all the manufacturer\'s galleries.

@steelcult - The bases do have a Heritage look, but these are alot bigger than my old Heritage minis. Did they produce stuff bigger than 25mm scale?
