Help me find the right mini!

OK, here\'s the problem: I haven\'t painted anything new in a long while but now I\'m planning on visitng the mini store (the closest is an hour drive away) soon. I was wondering what to get when I thought that it would be neat to get mini\'s to paint up as my old AD&D characters (I don\'t play anymore but I miss my guys!).

My problem is that for one of my characters, I can\'t seem to find a sutible mini to represent her. I was hoping with the collected knowledge of mini\'s here, that someone could suggest a mini to fit my character. Here\'s her description:
She\'s a half-elven cleric/mage with shoulder-length curly hair (curly-haired mini\'s are hard to find). She has a bit of a sense of modesty meaning that she wouldn\'t be running around naked but would not be opposed to showing a little something.

And I\'d like to add that please don\'t suggest that I just sculpt the curly hair onto a straight-haired mini. I tried sculpting hair (and other things) once and I suck at it. Really. I\'d like her to have nice hair, not a rat\'s nest.
Oh, and she uses a mace, but if a mini you know of is holding something else, that OK. I can always try converting the weapon.
So any ideas anyone??

Sandra Garrity at Reaper has sculpted some good-looking ladies with curly hair. Not sure about the half-elf look though :(

Maybe it\'s a good idea to start browsing their online shop, they have soooo much!

Go to the Reapermini.com site andsee if any of these will work for you. Each are listed by a catalogue number.
Although you didnt mention what kind of weapon you would be using, I took the liberty of getting a few miniatures for you to look at in the gallery.
In the Legends line:
2059
2123
2155
2232
2442
2535
2573
2693
In the Warlords line:
14018
14058
Hopefully one of these can work for you.

Thanks!

Thank you Lurch, I\'m hoping to get replys like yours with specific mini\'s in mind. I am hoping to also get ideas maybe from people who are as familiar with other companies as well like Rackham, Privateer Press, I-Kore, Ral Partha, Spyglass, etc.

I went to site and looked over those you suggested. I see a few possiblities there. I hope to get a few more ideas, since I don\'t know what the mini store will have in stock. Thanks!

If you have access to older minis, check the Grenadier line. Julie Guthrie sculpted many many combinations of class/sex back in the day. A good reference for these, as for most minis, is www.solegends.com

Good luck!
