woah, just got back from a friends house and read the thread. the no likey job thing, was to be honest,an ill timed, ill placed, childish joke, which even i can see a lot of people have been offended by. all i can say is i am truly sorry, but i know that isnt really a reparation. as for unemployment, i am not going to be unemployed if there is anything i can do about it, it is a work ethic i do not agree with, and as, you can see i really have no idea what i was thinking when i posted it. . there have been some really good suggestions from your all, and some really good points, which i have taken to heart. i really am sorry for all the offense ive caused, and i will do my best to put right. And, good news! looks like im getting a job when i hit working age in january.
still, once again, sorry.

I can understand not wanting to work for a living, Ive been working since the day I left school, and 11 years later I still hate getting up at 6 in the morning just to go and work at a place I hate, in order to make money for my boss who I don\'t like:mad:
I can understand Mike\'s view though, why should I work for twelve hours a day, and hate every minute of it, while my able bodied but bone idle neighbour gets his rent paid for him by the council and spends his dole money paid for by my taxes, on booze and cannibis!?!
The only way I\'ll ever be able to stop working, is if I win the Lottery:rolleyes:

id guess sort of thing for someone of your age to do would be to wash peoples cars/mow their lawns etc. As far as know you have to be 13 to get a paper round and 16 to work (legally) in a shop or resturant or similer. i think the best thing to do is to have realistic expectations. Dont think your going to make £500 quick though you can do it over time. Me, i do two paper rounds a week and do 8 hours in the pub down my road. Im not going to get rich quick but over time the money soon builds. Good luck!!

it takes a certain amount of courage to admit you\'re wrong and to apologize as well
well done for stepping up to the plate, when you could have easily done nothing

Well done, and I am sincerely glad you are not serious about avoiding a job. Nicely worded post.

I know how sometimes people can take a post very differently from how you intended. Emoticon or not nobody can tell if you\'re smiling when you type something. Computers are a clunky way to communicate. Glad you were able to respond here and clear the air. Like I say sometimes people don\'t get the meaning of what you\'re truly trying to say...

Like when somebody references the \"Police Academy\" movies! That was comedy gold folks! C\'mon, I do my best for you people!

Anyway glad you\'re back. What did you need the money for anyway?

Well done for apologising when you didn\'t have to mate! I\'m a bit confused at the uproar if I\'m frank about things. I\'ve got a work ethic and I respect others who have same said approach to life, but a 12yr old kid saying he\'ll never work is not an insult to my ethics one way or another. Who at that age wants to even consider a life of drudgery? Yes, a good work ethic brings self-respect and respect from others, and yes it can give you money to do what you want in life, but at 12yrs old I was nowhere near prepared to think about a life of work unless it was as a Palaeontologist wearing a funny hat - I\'d seen them in my Dinosaur books). God, even my balls had a few years to go before dropping! I was as far from adulthood then as I am from childhood now, and that\'s a long way.

Hestan - you\'re a kid, go with the flow. Adulthood is - booze, sex and rugby and cycling aside - a quite tedious monotony (okay, that\'s a lie, but it\'s not as much fun as being a kid). You should live your life to the full; run around making machine gun noises; do \"end-oes\" on your BMX; tie cotton thread to door knockers and watch the confusion as cars hit said cotton, causing knockers to, indeed, knock; avoid washing where possible; eat messily; leave your bedroom in a right proper state.

In short, have a laugh before responsibilities overwhelm you. God speed, little man!

Any apology is in itself a reparation and therefore accepted with pleasure.
To echo what others have said Much Kudos to you for standing up to make such an apology.

Good luck finding something worthwhile to bring in the cash in January (Another Capricorn?)
