Wow... hmm... not sure.

Something neurtal, white or black maybe? What colour are you doing the gems, perhaps a shade of that?

Perhaps the colour you did the bone?

How about keeping them white, as suggested, but rather than shading with yellows or browns, shade with blue/greys to keep with the scheme...?

Bone or gold. Check your color wheel. In fact yellow would even work but I think something like a snakebite would be best.

Its not random. When paint choosing a color scheme you choose a color then its opposite color as the comp. So for instance dark blue and yellow. Turquise and orange, etc heres a link
<<< Color wheel >>>

Hope it helps.

well after looking at made sudgestions and playing with photoshop i decided to try a dark blue and green. i must say it looks nice on it... i sitll dont think the mini will rate very high on CMON (esp with such dark colours) however i still like him!

I have to be honest, I don\'t really think that the colour choice you\'ve gone for works too well. The blue doesn\'t do anything to bring out the model, it is far to oppressive and doesn\'t compliment the other colours well, which is seriously reducing the overall look.

A white, bone or black cloak would make so much more of your paint job, as it would frame it up and make it pop. You could always add blue hints in the shading or highlights, just keep them subtle.

And what colour are you planning on doing the gems?

I agree the colour choices don\'t really compliment each other. I also think there is too much of the Purple - blue blend going on, it pretty hard to determine where one piece ends and another start.

As Lono has stated some white\'s, Bleached bone would seperate the colour\'s a bit bit and bring more clarity to the mini.
