Help! My mini\'s got a malevolent soul!

This is so freaky - I read somewhere that to paint the mini\'s face first would be kinda encouraging to finish it. So I tried that on a Mid-Nor dwarf warrior...
The skin came out nicely and was fun to paint... then I painted the eyes and from then on everything I tried to paint on him came out wrong or I had to repaint it several times to get to something even near the standard I aimed at.
I painted some stuff on other minis - which came out nicely... then I went back to this guy and tried the same thing: No way!

He\'s staring at me right now and laughing because I\'ve messed up his scimitar 3 times by now.

This simply isn\'t normal painter\'s block anymore! I think I gave him a soul when I painted his eyes and thus brought him to life.

I think I\'ll have to call an exorcist or something! :flame:

Tobi

Ghost busters!

A malovent soul like that can only be exorcised by the ghost busters, or a bottle of paint stripper :D

I told you all, faces come last!

Which compound would you suggest for this task? And where can I get this? Tobi
Try Easy Off Oven Cleaner - original formula.

Ah, no. I don\'t want to strip the whole thing because the skin\'s really good after all.
A cool thing I tried today on another mini is partial stripping. I took a pair of tweezers and a small piece of cotton and dipped it into nail polish remover (= more or less potent acetone). A bit of careful scrubbing easily removes thick layers of paint and works so far that you can apply a layer of your base color and you can start again with only a minor loss of quality. :)

Have a nice day,
Tobi

Yes partial stripping should be followed closely by complete stripping, always good for the soul!;)

Look out! Supervike is about to become a freak!

Congrats!
