Hi guys

I have got my 40k single entry sorted and want to paint something else for 40k monster....

well the rules say sort of anything that comes with a 40mm base, I have the forgeworld Ork sqwadron commander and he comes with a 40mm base will he qualify for the monster category

Thanks for the help in advance

I\'m not 100% but I believe he is a single.. The 40mm bases come on most forgeworld stuff like that to make the base more display type.. However I think that Orks on foot count as single unless they are big bog off warbosses etc ..

As I say not 100% .. anyone else???

This is tricky, it falls between the 40k single and the monster, it does say (somewhere) that an orc warboss can be put into the monster category and the forgeworld model is the same size as a warboss, and sort of the same.

So i\'d say yes, but to be sure i\'d maybe call up direct sales and ask them, at least then if they ask you at the event you can say you checked.

I\'d ask someone at GW. I think the rules generally are meant as what they would use in the games. Orc Warbosses in mega armour are on 40mm bases, whereas an orc in normal armour would be on a 25mm. there are exceptions of course, with terminators. The same thing sort of goes for tournaments. The FW Tau crisis suits come with 60mm bases, which used to be optional to use but now it\'s set as 40mm for rules.

If it was me I would put it into the open or large fig category as it is not 28/normal 40\\k scale but then what is these days?

I would of thought a single ork would just be in the 40k single category.
If it was a big bad ass ork then monster, but the squadron one isn\'t that big.

as far as the rules go, it goes in monster as it comes on a 40mm base.

space marine terminators are the only exception to this rule.
