Help. Pre heresy terminator

Yeah, without wanting to sound harsh, it looks as though he\'s carting a Turkish carpet stall round on his shoulders!

The style gives the impression of arcane, but they\'re too big.

His shoulder pads look a bit big to me, this is what I did:

I was thinking of doing some pre-heresy Thousand son termies for my army, I think you guys have inspired me to go ahead and do it

@RussianDragon, while I agree with the other comments that the shoulders are too big, those plasticard leather dangly strappy things look fantastic, how difficult were they to do?

Cheers

I think your ideas are absolutely great, but you\'ve got WAY too much going on on those termies. The painted version without the arms looks good, but the huge shoulders and extra danglies really confuses me when I look at it.

I think you need to either convert these guys a lot more, or a lot less. As is, it\'s tough to tell what you\'re going for. They\'re clearly too different to be standard Termies, but they use the same kit, so they look like standard Termies anyway. I think you\'re best bet is to either stick with the usual termie moels and just add PH embellishments while keeping the model the same fundamentally, or sculpt parts from scratch. If you sculpted the torso and pads from scratch there would be no question what it was supposed to be, because it wouldn\'t look like the kit terminators enough to confuse anyone.

Just my thoughts though.

Well you sure know how to paint gems. I think you went a little over the top with the dangly things. The ones inbetween the legs are good but too many hanging of the shoulder pads. The paint job looks good so far.

The face shield on the assault terminiator is post heresy, if I\'m not mistaken... that type of armor was first designed for the Mark 4 Heresy armmor type and first used later on tactical dreadnought armor. IMHO, stay away from that for a pre-heresy look.:)

Or just do what turns you on.:D
