Havent done this yet but I think it would work well and be easy. Roll out some of the putty, cut it to whatever size you want then let it sit for a while and start to harden. My clay goes to a state where it\'s still flexible but kind of like taffy. Take up the piece you have cut to size and simply and gently \'fold it\' up to how you want. It\'s still flexible enough to work with for 30 minutes or so.

you\'d be wrong! shawn\'s way of doing it is the way i\'d go about it but it\'s a fiddly technique. make sure you don\'t get finger marks on it! the main problem with leavingit to set for a bit is that it\'s very difficult to get sharp creases. i tend to either end up with it misshapen or too curvy like scibor\'s stuff:

Have you considered thick foil like some people use for banners...?

The difficult part is getting the creases to look realistic and in scale - you either end up too large as shown with Scibor\'s work, or too sharp and scrunchy

I\'d recommend the \"Less is more\" maxim, and just add a few creases to the areas where the cape folds most (Usually the shoulder/neck area), and leave the rest of the cape to hang, unless you want to convey motion and bend it slightly at the corners - this should make the cape look quite heavy, as lighter hanging fabrics tend to crease more.
