Help to make stain glass windows

Hi there can any one help me out. I want to make my own stain glass windows for my shrine of the Aquile . I have the windows designs but what plastics can be use to make the cut outs. if you now can you help thank you

simple:
overhead projector slide
color printer.

more complex:
craft store \'faux stained glass stain\' and the plastic they use.

i used clear perspex, sprayed with matte varnish then used felt tips once
