Help with Emperor Karl Franz

Hi,

I am hoping some of you guys can give me some ideas how to improve my version of the Emperor Karl Franz.

I have put him on a base which is a sculpted tower made from Green Stuff and Milliput but I can\'t seem to make it look any good. I know that the window is rubbish and that the shields need work but I am out of ideas.

I am open to any suggestions even more elaborate stuff so please come forth with your ideas.

Here\'s what he currently looks like

I\'d suggest that you lose the seam line on the corner, buildings don\'t have them and it\'s eye chatching.

Making a building from green stuff/Milliput must be expensive would you not be better off utilising textured Plasticard/Styrene sheet?
A pack of (roughly) 3x4 sheets of textured plasticard should cost you about £3.00.
Ok it\'s generally hard material to work with but a sharp Knife, Care and due diligence should allow you to make something reasonable.

The only thing I can suggest is trying to tie all the colours together, he looks a bit cartoony to me.
Its always difficult to get the colouring right on these, but i\'d say loose the blue, and concentrate on the red and green:D

Apart from the building join the others have mentioned the sigmar banner could use some work, the blending on the back is nice but the writing and hammer could use some work.

I agree with this. The mount looks very nice, but Karl has too much going on. He looks out of balance, I mean, I know he ahs a weapon but where is it??? Trying going with a silver/grey to make it stand out against the wings. As for the tower... your are right, toss the window. Then follow Dragons comment, the seam draws WAY to much attention to itself. Overall this has a lot of good things going for it, a little polish and I think you have a very nice mini here!
