Help with GIMP

I\'ve got GIMP all loaded up and have been playing with it. BUT, I cannot find any auto-level, auto-contrast, auto-fix anything. So, who wants to e-teach me how to work this software? Hopefully, I just need some direction on which buttons to push...???

OK,

Right click on the pcture - Tools > Colour tools > Levels

There is an auto button there, but personally I prefer to adjust the levels manually
