Help with Greenstuff layering lines please!

I need some help, and I know some of you guys on here are really good at sculpting so I thought I\'d ask.

I\'m having loads of trouble blending my greenstuff together. I\'ve no problem in actually smoothing it out, but when I apply one layer onto another (either wet or dry) there\'s always a line around the join that looks unsightly and is hard to flatten out.

Any ideas how I can get rid of this? I\'ve seen greens where people\'s models look like they\'re made from one bit of greenstuff, but I can always see patches in mine where I\'ve applied extra layers. It only really happens to me when I\'m doing big areas like cloaks and things...

Thanks! :bouncy:

Happens to me too.

Use milliput soup to smooth out the joins.
Milliput (white) mixed together and then use water to reduce the stuff to a soup.
OK it\'s messy and you need to be careful where it goes but it works.

That would work.

OR just scrape the line away with a very sharp knife or just very fine wet&dry paper. Just like removing a mould line.

You can also just get a softer mix of GS going. Instead of mixing all the blue cut some of it away. Although it will take a bit longer to dry, you will have a much softer surface to work with making it easier to fill in the gaps/lines.

Blend out/feather the edges more! :)

With one of these, it\'s usually doable :

The other thing that helps is to have the edge of your new layer match with the edges of details of your sculpt.

I just wet either my finger or a tool and smooth the green stuff with that. The water keeps the GS from sticking, and makes it a little easier to smooth out.
