Help With Washes

Recently, I\'ve started making a real effort to improve the overally quality of my minisl. Now, these are still only tabletop quality, if that, but waaaay better than what I used to do.

My first project was the Harbinger of Menoth. The Harbinger herself is nearly done...but, the white is way too clean. Now, I want to use a wash to \"dirty it up\" a bit.

I have a pot of Badab Black, but I\'m not sure if thats the best one to use for this. I just want to darken the white in general and show some texture to it. Also, should I be thinning the wash before I use it? If so, with what?

THe Harbinger is my first \"Organic\" miniature...before this, all I\'ve done are mecha...mainly battletech miniatures...so a basecoat and a quick drybrush look great on them. Not so much on a mini like this...I\'m hoping a decent wash gives it a bit of pop.

Thanks in advance.

Don\'t use the black over white it\'s far to strong and will ruin the effort of your work.

Thin bleached bone to a wash and apply that to the white areas. Allow to dry then consider using a very dilute wash of gryphon sepia but only over the white areas.
