Well... I don\'t normally say much in a forum, but after Scouring through the massive gallery of nicely painted minis

There really doesn\'t seem to be much love being given to Anime geekdom, or for that matter any licensed character...

you know people like...

-Ash (from the Evil Dead 2
-Solid Snake
-The Sailor Scouts (would be great if you wanted to utterly humiliate someone on the gaming table)
-Any superhero look alikes

and the list could go on...

but first lemme tell you guys who I\'ve got on the painting table (pictures will come... i\'m not just blowing steam here)

-Jo Carpenter (from the anime Burst Angel)
-Cammy (from street fighter)
-Mad Max
-Morrigan (from Darkstalkers)
-Leon S. Kennedy (from resident evil 4)
-Jill Valentine (from resident evil)
-Kos-Mos (from Xenosaga)
-Deadpool
-Hellboy
-The Tyrant (from resident evil)
-The Umbrella corp Mercs
-And your generic schoolgirl catgirl

I\'ve got more concepts to work with... but those are all the people that are done/almost done.

But anyways...

SO I ISSUE AN ARTISTIC CHALLENGE!!!

Create/Convert a mini that closely resembles a well known/well liked character that wouldn\'t otherwise be made into a miniature because of licensing issues.

@cmdr - hasslefree are doing an \'ash\' from evil dead (with classic pose), a hellboy/marv (alternate heads and arms) and a spiffy snake pliskin (i think he\'s called cobra skilpin!). have a look at the forum of doom. i have no idea how they get away with it!

oh and show us some pics of your wips!

I\'m not really into painting anime stuff but I always like looking at interesting work.... so let\'s see what you\'re up to :D

I\'ve said it before, but I\'ll say it again:

Resident Evil miniatures. Somebody make them!!

Metal Gear characters would be great as well. I\'d buy Revolver Ocelot just because of the name :D

Anyone know of an Anime that has Rose Monsters.
I can make decent roses and snakes, I\'m good at Snakes.

but yeah I\'ll definately post some WIP pics as soon as i can in my profile. (kinda needs to get a camera)

Now at everyone who mentioned resident evil mini\'s I do have some figures that resembled Leon and Jill 100% no conversion involved. it was from a series of mini\'s called \"Lead Bones\" I bought the figs immediately when i was at a con in chicago. Albert Wesker was in there too... but i didn\'t want all the other nobodys that came with him.

And when i mentioned Solid Snake... I mean Snake from the metal gear games even though he was based on the character Snake Pliskin from Escape from N.Y. (although i like that guy too) I want Solid snake.

oh yeah, and to add to the list i\'ve converted.

Corporal Hicks (Aliens)
Master Chief (workin on some Rules for him to be used in a 40k game too)
A random Jedi
A steampunk horse
And Hunk (from Resident evil).. and thats bout it.

But i swear to god if any of the people in Coolminiornot were to make an awesome sculpt of Gordon Freeman with optinal crowbar or gravity gun.... I would worship that man/woman because they would be made of epic win.

And Dragonsreach... you should totally make a rose/vine/snake creature!

have the rose be like the creatures head and the rest of everything be thorny vines or snakes or whatever you come up with.

because it would totally remind me of an animated bush of roses from the anime Rozen Maiden.

oh yeah... and if you guys are wondering what the heck i\'m converting to get these characters, just ask me, and i\'ll let you know who i used as the base.
