Great work Ritual. I really like how details the chest plate ( I think that is what it is) turned out. You should write an aritcle on how to get such great detailed painting with metallics.

Wonderful!

Great colours, great contrast, great metals, top job!

My only (very slight) crit is that the pic is a bit noisy :(

Thanks! I can\'t really take credit for the fine detail as they are sculpted in. All I did was make sure they were brought out by the paintjob. The key to bringing out fine detail like this is to have the right combination of paint consistency and amount of paint on the brush. You need to have very little paint when you highlight it so that you don\'t get any paint where it\'s not meant to go. At the same time you need to have it fairly thin so that despite not having much paint on the brush it will go onto the mini smoothly. But, if you have it too thin, it will run off into the recesses where it\'s not wanted. So, it\'s a bit of a trial and error process to get the right combination. Hope it makes sense. :)

Yeah, you\'re right. It\'s got a slight bit of noise in it. I fiddled around with the camera a bit and I should probably have gone for a lesser ISO number. Another thing, due to this mini being so detailed it was difficult to get it below 200k (unless I made the pics smaller, which I didn\'t want). So, there\'s a fair bit of jpg compression involved as well making the noise a little bit more apparent (which it isn\'t in the original photos, unless you blow them up big). Matty mentioned other photos with a brown background and the more irregular background there made it impossible to get under 200k. I would have had to compress it to 30% and it would look complete shite. Here are those other photos (with lesser compression, id say about 70%):

Fantastic job. I cannot fault it.
Because of the great job you have done I don\'t think it\'s apparent how small and delicate this mini is.
I just look at mine and keep putting it off.
Brilliant.
:D

Maybe this mini will be available again at some other convention, but AFAIK it is not available for general sale.

@Talonicus
Cheers! :beer: Yes, it is pretty fiddly... :)
