I\'ve been thinking of buying the Heresy Netherlord Model, but I\'m not sure as to what base size would be best. I\'m not too fond of the ones that come with the model (2 40mm bases). your input would be most appreciated.

Well I liked it so much I bought two...
It\'s a great model, abosutely bloody enormous and all metal. If GW were marketing it you\'d have to sell your house!!
I bought one of the originals and was well pleased. It\'s not a model for the beginner however. GS is (was) needed in fairly moderate quantities. I didn\'t particularly like the spines on his back and so didn\'t fit them, I was planning to shorten them dramatically as I thought they were far too long. Now however, Andy has bought out wings for the old model which are a huge improvement and I have acquired a couple of these.
The new-improved model is a lot easier to assemble I am told, but I quite enjoyed putting the old one together...it was certainly no more tricky than an old metal GW dragon. I bought one of the new winged versions with an axe instead of the sword when Andy did his 20% off special deal. Too good to resist and..... still available according to Kat.....With postage only a measly 3 pounds ($5.20)to the USA for about a two and a half pounds of lead...how can you resist???

This is sad, but I recently put in an order for one of everything Heresy did. I had already bought some of the stuff so I do have a lot of Andy\'s stuff, especially the Boris\'. I also managed to get my hands on quite a few of his Limited Edition Thruds as well, which are fanatastic! I can also recommend the comics from Carl Critchlow. They reminded me of a) My youth and b) Why i got interested in this hobby in the first place
I really can\'t make a decision on this. I bought my first one with the sword. But I have since bought an additional axe. I will just wait and see.
The beauty of Andy\'s system is that you don\'t have to decide once and for all, you can always change at a later date.
At the moment my preference is returning to the sword as the additional length seems to balance the model better

I wouldn\'t say all of Heresy\'s stuff is unmissable, but there are certain \'must haves\'. Mine \'must haves\' are the Netherlord, Borissii (or whatever the plural of Boris is). the ogre with the table over his head and the minotaur.
You must read his bio as well...it\'s a good read..

The weapons are actually for the upcoming Fallen One which looks similar to the netherlord. It\'s only about three times the size of a regular 28mm piece though, and will a fine stand in for any demon prince or large demon.
