Greetings!
I painted this chap last year but have only just got around to posting him on here (must get around to posting the others too...). As the title says, he's a Deathball Cyclops from Heresy and packs a mean punch! :dazed: Deathball is not played on your usual football pitch; the demons preferring much more theatrical environments such as ruined cathedrals, fighting pits and so on. For more information, click here and click on Deathball logo.
When I first saw this model, I absolutely loved him. To me he's very old school; nice and simple but with loads of character. It is the first time I have done weathered armour - I think it came out well. I painted the shoulder pad in bolt-gun metal, then masked off the areas for the damage. I then just painted the shoulder pad as normal - all the highlights and shading etc. Then had the fun task of rubbing off the masking fluid and just hoped it worked
I wasn't brave enough to try the salt technique - maybe next time.
I am particularly pleased with his face; I followed Marike's tutorial for painting eyes, or rather eye in this case. It was a good size to try it on - I don't think I could manage it on a 28mm figure :sidefrown:
Anyway, I hope you like him and as usual, C&C are most welcome as are your votes!

Thank you in advance.
