there are always ink washes of yellow ink with a bit of brown mixed into it.

or you could go punk and do it with magenta. hehe

How about a very thin red glaze on her cheeks and a slightly less thinned one on her lip(s) lol

Also - I feel the frilly bit around her bosom (great word - Bosom bosom bosom bosom)... Ahem...

That bit, need some more definition :)
For florring -you could try making it look like sawdust - the mark of a truly great pub ;) hehe

Dan- thanks for the tip about the lips and cheeks, will try that, will also try to define the frill around the bosom (just for you...bosom, bosom, bosom!) more.

My plan for the base does in fact involve sawdust... I intend to \'sculpt\' (it\'ll be my first attempt so don\'t expect miracles!) wooden floor boards and add sawdust in the shape of... well sawdust actually...which will be stolen from my horses stable:D

for the floor planks just go ahead and use popsicle sticks. as for sawdust, just dip some snow into the color you need and as emeril would say \"BAM!\"

you got sawdust.

My advice for painting lipstick: Don\'t try to paint the upper lip. Try to paint the bottom lip and the crack between the top and bottom. You should get just enough paint on the upper lip to make it look right.

If you have to, a quick dab of flesh color in the middle of the upper lip gets the little nubbin like on a real mouth. I can\'t ever remember what that thing\'s called :p

A hilight or two on the middle of the bottom lip and you\'re good to go.

A thick layer of lipstick makes a figure look like Ronald McDonald awfully quick. This figure\'s quickly shaping up to be one of the best to date.

Thanks for all the tips and compliments guys, I\'m very grateful!

Today I got a little package of loveliness from Ebob thru the post, which included some greenstuff, milliput and tools, so the \'temp\' base of floorboards will be attempted tomorrow.

Also got the \'foundation\' for my planned diorama... cheated and bought a \'ready-made\' building as I\'m quite sure my sculpting isn\'t going to be any good!

Will finish this mini soon, promise!

Ok, decided to leave the sculpting and get on with the painting... think I messed it up- guess this is what folk mean when they say they think they\'ve \'overworked\' a mini...:]

Here\'s the latest photo, I\'m not happy at all, think I :cussing: it!
