Hi all,
After a long time of visiting this site i have decided to throw caution to the wind and register so I can get more involved in the scene.
I'll begin by telling a little about myself, Just hope this is the right place to do so
I have been interested in whfb and 40k for about the last 15 years on and off but have never really taken it too seriously, Just the odd mini bashed out at a tabletop level so i could play some games. Recently though I have found myself less and less interested in the gaming side and more interested in the painting aspect so I dug out the old paints and a few minis and got cracking and I havent looked back since. I am enjoying painting much more than i ever have before (although my wallet wishes i'd get a cheaper hobby) and am enjoying trying new things and improving on my currently rather basic set of skills. I'm amazed at how much i have learnt in such a short time and that is mainly thanks to the great sources of tips and tutorials on the net. I found the Paintingmum blog really inspiring (really love anas style) and many artists on cmon also have links to their own sites which are full of all sorts of info. Living in the small island of jersey means that there is only a very tiny community here and it can be difficult to meet people who share a love of the hobby so here I am.
Anyway, just wanted to say a little hello and introduce myself. I look forward to speaking with as many of you as possible in the future
