Actually, I had a similar thought to the OP 2 years ago. Producing high quality sculpts of historical interest is one of the goals behind Crunch-Waffle. LOL, we commissioned Tom Meier to produce an African mini; that\'s investing in a quality historical. Whether or not we will ever do modern era stuff, I don\'t know. And whether or not historical collectors will ever begin dotting their armies with qualitiy heroes, I don\'t know. My suspicion is that most of the armies out there are pretty carefully kept to a single style. So, it may be all or nothing for a lot of the historical collectors.

I like the idea of this. I only paint (albeit very slowly) and don\'t have an interest in gaming. I\'ve often wanted to paint an historical figure, but don\'t like the larger scales and don\'t like the quality of the sculpts of the smaller stuff. So I would express a curious interest at the moment to see where your idea goes.
