"hits the shelves on august 2012. Get ready!"

I was surprised to learn that the trip on the water can take anywhere from three weeks to three months depending on the ports of call in between. Then there is the time spent in customs...

I hope to see it before I head to Gen Con, but will play it when it gets here.

The KS update in June said if all goes smoothly, they'll be shipping in in the second week of August, which is now. I don't know whether no update is a good thing or not. Could be delayed and they haven't told us, could be that they're busy packing and will update when everyone's game is out the door.

Interestingly, someone commented on KS that they are indeed packing boxes now, from 'someone he knows', but take that with a grain of salt.

I know Jeff (the guy who posted this) and trust he is accurate.

Thats cool, thanks for the info Cptjake. Would have been great for us to get an update when they had the boxes to pack, but its also fair enough to want to focus all energy on actually getting them shipped instead. :)

Looks like we should be seeing them in the next 2-3 weeks then (quicker in US and maybe UK) depending on what method of shipping they use.

I think we should be aware that there are more than 5.200 people who pledged for a game on KS. So, even if they are already sending games right now, there's a big chance that most of us will receive the game at the end of this month or even next month.

GG posted pictures on Facebook and it sounds like they will start shipping very soon, those of us in the States should expect them before next Thursday. I wonder if there will a tracking number?

On facebook from guillotine games today,

"Shipping out this week and next and next... To all backers it will take time!!! It is a HUGE amount of work... So don't worry you will get your copy... American backers likely before Gencon, rest of the world after (thanks customs and shipping time)..."

So soon!! Can't wait!!

Assuming they have everything prepped ahead of time (printed labels, boxes of the preferential size, an idea of how everything will be put in the box together) I would expect that they could have all the kickstarter shipments out a few weeks after they have all of the materials. That being said, yeah, I'd bet on mid-september at the earliest for supporters receiving their first package, and te last easily being sometime in October (or even November) for overseas orders.

That being said, I'm still psyched!

Well if you are a zombie then you'll have to be put down... Sorry.

If they let me I'll drive down to Atlanta to get my copy. :p

Hmm, if I'm a zombie maybe I don't have to pay taxes...

They'd come up with a zombie tax...help to create a "Zombie Shelter" and "Zombie control" and education programs for the public on how to handle Zombies humanely.

Related to this - as the Kickstarter copies are rolling in, will this be available as a, say, holiday purchase? For those of us who missed the kickstarter?
