That\'s it in a nutshell. Not to mention, the cost would be even more insane if GW did make a Rhino to scale.

Space Marines care nothing for comfort, or heat or cold or crouching for three hours in an unventilated Rhino with a fellow marine\'s ass in their face. It\'s all for the Emperor. Chaos Marines might even *enjoy* the discomfort. There\'s your answer. Also, GW kits are a total ripoff on a money-per-size basis, compared with other plastic model kits. It\'s the game that makes them so expensive (you\'re paying for points on the table).

What really upset\'s me is that when the Rhino\'s were first released (Waaay back when....) you got 3 for £5.00.

That works out at £1.66 each! And now the new ones are £15.00 each.
Bugger!!

wow. sounds like orks fitting in their war trukks

yeah if you think 10 marines in a rhino is impossible try 10 orks in the back of a wartrukk. you have to build pyramids.
In the previous version of 40K the vehicle chart said: \"the trukk may carry as many ork models as may be sensibly fitted on the back. Obviously if models are falling of all the time, or you are using sticky tape, then you are trying to carry too many boyz.\" lol

See current Us WD

I don\'t have it, being a Brit, but I\'m reliably informed that there is an article that touches upon scale in 40k.

One of the points it makes is to observe that scales in the playing pieces is not precise. This is why marines appear as tall as Cadians, when they ought to be a foot or more taller. It also explains why vehicles generally are to small to fit the numbers they are supposed to.

GW is not a \"scale model\" manufacturer, but a wargaming company. Their models are gaming pieces designed to fit and work on a gaming table, rather than to fully and realistically reflect scale models of giant superhuman warrior-monks.

I just got inspired by this thread to try and one-up the ultimate rhino that appeared in WD and model passengers. I just checked and if you seat three along the benches on each side, you can squeeze in four standing in the center... just. This would also explain why the razorback is only capable of carrying 6 at a time. o standing room in the center

Out of curiosity, can the Tau Devilfish actually fit 12 Firewarriors?

if you throw the correct number of bitz in and close all the hatches....yes. but dont expect to get all the bitz back out again.

I did get to see a person attempt to place 10 space marines into a rhino by leaving the top and back hatch open and cramming them in. Really entertaining, I think the guy ended up breaking the rhino apart to get the marines back out. I don\'t remember if he got all 10 in though...
