I\'ve got attachments to it too, but I just wonder how it might look if done well. A sympathetic director and some sensible CGI could be pretty nifty.

How!?!? How could you not have seen those movies? Conan: The Barbarian? RoboCop? those two alone I wouldn\'t accept a 50% viewing rate from people on a mini forum. Sweet Jesus I wish I could knock out that portion of my memory and watch a lot of those movies again for the first time. Some.... not so much. Wow. Just.... wow.

I was born in \'76, meaning Star Wars came out while I was still doing things I couldn\'t get away with now.... 2001:A Space Odysey, The Great Escape, A Fistful of Dollars, etc. etc. all movies that came out before my time.
RoboCop, Conan.... man, they\'re CLASSICS! I find it as part of my duty to give my son perspective on the SciFi/Fantasy/Uber Violent genre. Seeing Arnold before he becam AHNOLD! is worth the price of a cheapo DvD rental for sure!
Alex, you gotta branch out! Those movies are worth it.
Oh, and as a side not Ale3x, if you do see Conan (You\'ll wish you had seen it earlier!) do NOT get the directors cut. Ouch.

Hollywood is going the safe road. sure we have had the year of sequals and remakes, so why not another decade of it lol. its just nostalgic directors that want to get their paws on a classic and bum it so hard it becomes something akin to the war of the worlds remake. they take the story and chuck it out a window. but hopefully (for sanitys sake) a few hardcore do some new things and push our entertainment a bit further
