Honking big wolfen

Second post here for me and I thought I\'d drum up some interest with the veterans, rather than trudging through umpteen piccies and accidentally stumbling onto my latest complete mini.

I\'ve started getting more adventurous with basing compared to the older stuff in my gallery. Any comments or criticisms, it\'s the only way I\'ll get any better;)

The paint job is really sweet. The base is just a bit too green IMHO. But I really look forward to seeing the rest of your work :).

I like it! A real Rackham-quality paintjbo. I think the only point of improvement is your photography :)

The painting seems to be of very high quality and there is no immediate flaws that I can point out. However, the photos make the mini look very anonymous and not very interesting, which is a shame since I bet the mini is stunning if I could see it in real life. Your Sin Assyris mini in the gallery section of the Darkson painting guide, for instance, is a much better photo that shows the character of the mini in full to the viewer. I hope this makes sense and doesn\'t sound overly critical. :)

I have a Wolfen I\'m working on right now (and am trying a tecnique I havent seen used on a Wolfen). Every time I pick it up it\'s a pleasure to see such fine, dramatic sculpting.

...very nice work Corpuscle! The restricted colour scheme works nicely and the freehand is cool,I\'m going to check out your gallery now. :D

Been and voted. I think you have done an excellent job on the skin. My only critique you be the leather bands. They appear flat to me. A minor critique, but the only one I could come up with :).

Not much to add other than I like what you did with it. The base needs something to break up all that green grass.

The picutre is a little dark, How many lights did you use?

@Ritual. I know what you mean about the photos, all I do is point my camera at the mini and press the button. For some reason my painting looks quite 2D on screen, but better in the flesh. Thanks for the tip off about Sin appearing in the Darkson book, I didn\'t know if it made it in, I\'ll try and pick up a copy.

@Jabberwocky. They do look flat:( I need to try some new leather recipes.

@Drake. Maybe I\'ll stick some static grass on there. The base was a bit of a change from my normal stuff and I think it sort of worked. Each new mini I tend to try something a bit different, so my current WIP has a much more impressive base.:) All I use lighting wise is either daylight or a 60W daylight bulb, maybe I need to monkey about in potatoshop to change the brightness?

Thanks for all the comments, hopefully I\'ll break the 9.0 barrier sometime.
