Lowlives are everywhere....

There was a story in the paper recently about a bloke who had cycled all around the world, quite literaly. During his travels he had visited some of the poorest, most deprived countries in the world. He arrived in England and promptly had his bike nicked....:(

Tut tut!

First of all, I\'d find out the reason for their behaviour, social deprivation etc. Then I\'d consider how they might best be rehabilitated...

Then I\'d cut their hand off! :D

Someone who steals a loaf of bread for his starving family, fair enough. But to steal from dying children!?!?!?!?

Thus follows Swordwinds proposal how to deal with said criminals
*Warning! Do not read if squimish!!!*

Smash thier knees in with a hammer and chisel and then break thier elbows in similar fashion. Then thread the tattered remains though a cart wheel spokes and hoist on the top of a tall pole. Slit their bellies open just enough for thier guts to spill out and leave them for the crows.

They wouldnt do it again thats for sure :)

They should be taken out back and shot, multiple times, but not killed. Then we should take their thumbs, just for good measure. Maybe even an ear.

I couldn\'t argue with that...

I think we need to remember that this is the sort of story that the tabloid press love...What do \'Dying children\' want with toys? If they stole their medicine...that would be different.

Lets play an alternative scenario...one I have actually seen:

Well-meaning but possibly very old people donate inappropriate toys to a children\'s hospice..old worn, dirty, broken etc. The well-meaning staff remove them because they break all current Health and Safety regulations...explanation given to well-meaning old folk is that they have \'disappeared\'..you can\'t tell them that they were crap! Old folk feel indignant and blame anonymous thieves...

That was a true story...how might the press report that?

Don\'t believe all you read in the papers.

Have them sit in the ward with the children. Feed, clean, care for them. Look the children in the eyes. Then see how they feel about stealing from them. :(

Yup...

That sounds good to me as well.

My only fear is that many of these crimes are drug related??? Why else would anyone be that desperate???

Some addicts would steal the bedding, the bed and white-slave the child to feed their habit....

Some wickedness knows no depth........

You are right-on there my man..

But, even though we have wildly differing beliefs, the thing we share is that neither of us will let the bastards win???

Yup. All that it takes for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing.

Seems here in Calif. every Christmas there is a similar story of someone stealing the goodies.

On a wierd/funny/creepy note, the Hells Angles (very bad bunch of fellows) do toy donations at Christmas!!??
