hey Everyone!!

Alright This is something for a friend he hasn\'t got a internet connection to the internet. So I\'m just helping him out with some things out.

he was wondering of converting a Horus but in our 40K Scale. So He said he was going to base the conversion on Abaddons Body, Head, and thats about it. The Claw he will be using is from a Chaos Lord and the Power Mace, trophies, and the Fur is that problem right now....
He Needs our support I\'ve already gave him many ideas but the rest i just can\'t figure out!

Anyways please help him out for me!

the fur could always be from the ever useful WHFB chaos warrior cloaks. the power mace from the same box set or the marauder sprues. mind you he never used to have a power mace!

Wait how is my friend going to put the fur onto the model if its connected to the cloak?

and at the same time i was refering to Philippe type of Horus Look in his gallery and you\'ll see the version i\'m talking about but my friend doesnt want to convert the Inquistor scale of the model but the regular 40k Scale of Horus.
More help would be awesome!

(For all too lazy to look it up)

Fur is not that bad to try and sculpt yourself, if it\'s going directly on the pack, then just put the GS and sclupt it on there.. Or, you can first make out a thin sheet and sculpt it however you want to make it look like it\'s an actual pelt and then after it\'s dry go back and sculpt more. Fur is easy to do, you either take a pin and poke it a lot for short, dense hair, or you take a knife and run it in parrallel lines or waves for more regular looking fur.. Aslo study how others do it and most importantly: Practice! :D

Oh, and you can always use Space Wolf stuff for icons and such (Remember, the Black Legion was known as the Luna Wolves before they changed it)...

heh I\'ve seen many models but my friend isnt doing an Exact conversion of Horus.
He just wants to do a conversion of Horus, what he thinks Horus looks like and he likes what he is thinking heh.

Any suggestions for the Mace?

The old Fantasy Chaos Arm sprue had a big, mean looking mace.. I don\'t think they sell the arms seperatly any more, though... The easiest methiod is to get it from somewhere else, as I\'ve found plasticard doesn\'t like me.. :p

Yup, far as i\'m concerned the conversion isn\'t Horus. Horus did have 2 lightning claws... Funnily enough they were named the Talons of Horus. :)

Some people were saying that you dont need to do a conversion based onthe story whatever comes from your imagination you can go with.
My friend believed that and decided not to go with the Horus, but instead use his own imagination and create a Horus from his mind and what he thinks of Horus.
But although i dont know he might change his idea to the talons of Horus

Then why call it Horus?
GW have alredy described Horus in some detail, including what he looks like. If you want to do a cool model that looks different, why not have it be a different Chaos Lord?

You could call him Horace.

And he could go skiing and get hungry.

I think that the galaxy would have been a better place had Horace led the Lunar Wolves.
