How about a BattleMech for a change

My latest submission is an Arbalest BattleMech for the game Battletech manufactured by Iron Wind Metals. I originally painted the miniature about 1 year ago, but made some additional detailing last week (scratches, warning stripes, ...). Last Saturday there was a Convention in Antwerp / Belgium with a very strong painting competition attached - Crisis 2007. Among others I entered the Arbalest in the \"smaller than 15mm\" category (BattleTech is 6mm scale) and much to my surprise took a Bronze medal :eek: Even more shocking is the fact that this was the only award handed out in this category :eek: (the contest is judged according to the open system) Needless to say I am quite happy with the result - especially with a miniature originally not intended for a competition :)

I know Mechs have a hard time here and are not everyones favorite subject, but please let me know what you think :)

I love mechs. Nifty paintjob - my Khadoran Warmachine stuff is done in around that sort of olive drab. Always good for a nice military hardware look!
