how do keep paint from drying

i know theres a way to let the pain last over night but wut materials do i need i know i need a container witha led!

You can try one of these pallettes.

here is a tip i got from Jeremie\'s paint class. it is simple and cheap.

get a sealable container, a paper towl, & parchment paper ( baking paper the non-waxed kind.).

fold your paper towl into forths ( the shape of your cantainer with about 4 to 6 layers of paper towl) and add water till the paper towl cannot hold anymore liquid.

Cut your parchment paper to fit. when you palce your parchment paper on the towl it will usually roll up...just flip it over and it will lay flat.

this simple wet pallet works great.

I use a homemade stay-wet palette, pretty much as in EvilBones\'s post except I only use a single layer of kitchen paper as the reservoir.

if you use the waxtip paper ....
A. the pallet is not wet...wax bearrier...might as well be using a reg. pallet
B. if you do use this sometimes the paint, water, extender, flow aid or whatever can dislodge the wax and put it into your paint. lumpy paint sux.

i generally keep the paint on my tongue over night. that way its nice and moist the next day.

most brushlickers actually do this.

i live in usa california but thats what its called right pallet paper or does it have another name!

david go to your local grocery store. walk down the baking/cake isle and look for parchment paper. if you do not find it there ask someone whom works there where to find it. grand total with tax is less than $5.

You could also go to Michael\'s and spend top dollar for wet pallet paper.

But personally, I\'d go with the parchment paper idea.

ok i got my pallet paper and i used it already and guess what it works realy great!i just need one more question how long would it keep the paint drying i was thinking a 2 night stand.....

I go a week at a time with my paint if the cover is tight.

If you have a water spritzer you can give it a spritz before you seal it and buy a little more time out of it.
I used to do that in college since my acrylics class was every other day.

Sealed up you should get at least one/two weeks\' worth of storage (after a certain point mould/bacteria growth becomes a problem so dump, clean and reload). Once or twice I\'ve had mixes keep OK for around a month but I wouldn\'t try to rely on that kind of lifespan.

Uncovered the paint can, if the reservoir is damp enough, last eight hours or more quite happily - I learned this the hard way when I forgot to put the lid on before heading off to work
