How do you make the display bases where the minitures base fits into it? So you can remove the mini from its base, but it will still have a base.

Like that. And where can I get a wooden base like that?

Wow that\'s a big question.( or two)
As to the fitting of models into purpose cut holes, try a Forstner bit in a drill press, or if you\'ve got a steady hand an electric drill. 25mm is the right size. If your doing Warhammer then you need to drill out the core then chisel the rest away very slowly.

As for the wooden base most of the one\'s I\'ve seen like that are purpose made, there are two options:-
1) get friendly with your local woodworking/hardware store and find out if anybody would make one specifically.
2) Have a look on Andrea miniatures site HERE and see if any suite your requiements.
3)Make then yourself. All you need is a good supply of wood and a router. Watch Norm Abrams on \"New Yankee Workshop\" and buy a plaid shirt......

(Oh thats three options! Ooops):)
