i've seen some pretty awesome stuff o this site, and i'm particularily impressed by the threads ad drops that come up on the minis.
i was wondering how do you make them? i've tried a couple of things but nothing's worked so far.

I've had good success with a hot glue gun for these.

It takes a bit of practice but the results are worth it.

The method I use for blood and slime is the same as written on the MassiveVoodoo blog.
Basically Black-UHU Glue + Tamiya clear paints (here the black label is important, the same thing doesn't work with the environment-friendly green label)

Spider-Web: well, here I've seen 3 methods:
- stands from a Q-tip or similar source, fixed with matt-varnish
- the above mentioned Glue, used with fingers
- And Picster's method (Pelikan antique varnish thinned with a little water blown through an airbrush), sadly I didn't have luck with this one. I tried it once so far, but the strands never formed, I just clogged the AB.

1. MiniatureMentor had it on Video, but because of GW it was taken down (they used a dreadnought for the painting tutorial --> C&D letter), I tried to replicate it on a base, here is how it looks like: http://www.coolminiornot.com/27657
edit: here I found the original mini, that was shown (so this is the much better result of the first method): http://www.coolminiornot.com/270313?browseid=6589310

thanks for the help guys.
timewizard: will ceartinally have to try that once i get my hands on my own glue gun. i don't think mother would be too happy if i permenantly borrowed hers.
MAXxxx: wow those tutorials are great! i've been experimenting with the second spiderweb sggestion, and man it is fun. ended up making a giant eggsac like thing out of the screwed up tissue i was using to test it on.

i would like to make the blood look like it is dripping, or about to drip. is this achieveable using what people have mentioned? if so, how do you form a blood or drool "drip?" i haven't managed to sucessfully form one with what i've tried so far

Like MAXxxx, I find that the cheap all purpose glue (UHU in the UK) works brilliantly for the blood. Mix with a little black paint and Tamiya clear red and you get some nice gore. Let it thicken and you can pull strings of it with a cocktail stick or old paint brush handle. If you want to make it look like a blood drop, it will form around a hair. Just use slightly use the glue while it is slightly runnier and gravity will do the work. (Sprocket did something similar for icicles as I recall).
