How do you tell the difference between sizes of minis & what goes good together?

I tried a google search but it just came up with a bunch of stuff about iPod minis.
For example Galhwch Lladd , Pendyndraig of Gwaelod's scale says it's 32 mm. Is that a usable size for gaming compared to the normal size of the standard humanoid? Or is the standard size for the humanoids 32 MM?

Most tabletop games are in the 28-32mm scale. So the beast should be safe to use in those settings. Just remember that that number refers to scale, not the size of the beast. Knowing Banelegions, I'm betting he's quite a bit larger than most humanoids of the same scale.

Just to be pedantic, but 32mm or 28mm ain't a scale. The whole point of a scale is that you can refer to the scale and re-size anything appropriately. For example, in 1/35, something that measures a metre will now measure one thirty fifth of that, ie about 2.85cm. You can't do the same maths with 28mm or 32. It's also worth bearing in mind that some companies measure the 28mm to the eyes of a man, some to the top of the head. Some consider the man to be average height (which is varies according ot where you live), some say six foot... Not to mention the hideous word 'heroic' which means a lot bigger, but in a non specific way

Just to add, a lot of the unpainted Reaper mini pictures have two triangular objects on the right hand side ("Bryangles"). These are intended to show the relative sizes of their minis. Not sure how far back into their library of photos it goes. Nor do I remember just how far apart those notches are.

Yep she was a huge inspiration for me a well. But the reason I joined so many years ago was to find a place to complain about New wave miniatures web store. The forums here were attached to the store at the time....lol
