How do you transfer your paint\\dilution to pallette?

I\'m just interested in how other people get their paint, and dilution silution from their respective containers to the pallette...

I use the end of a an old brush to dab drop sof paint and water. Occasionally I\'ll stir the 2 with brush bristels.

I\'m wondering if my technique is quite poor... hehe.

Hopefully someone else has a better way (other than transfering everything to dropper bottles).

I just get a brush load of paint, on my biggest brush, blob it on the pallete, if i need more i add more. Then dip the brush in water and mx into the paint, twice for every brush load.
Thats roughly how i do it! Just slap my brush in!

I just use my brush (usually whatever one I am currently using, with exception to a fine detail brush) most of the time the GW \"Basecoat Brush\" size. Ive seen people use the end of their brush to gather the paint, add the water, and mix, but that tends to have a lot of waste that gets rubbed off on a paper towel.

The brushes wont be damaged at all, unless you dip it in the paint all the way past the bristles, or when using very \"harsh\" mixing motions.

I tend to have a brush I\'m not too fussed about to transfer the colours I need to the pallette and then mix into each othe with water for painting. That way I keep a gradation of colours on the pallette so I can go back to it when needed.
Using VMC a lately means it\'s a bit easier as I can just put a spot of each colour on fro the bottle.

An old citadel basecoat brush. The bristles are so frayed I don\'t even use it for basecoasting any more.
A few half-brushfuls, then dip in water, knock off excess drops, and mix to desired consistency. Tension breaker usually factors in somewhere too.

Save your contact saline bottles to put your dilution in. Don\'t wear contacts? Surely one of your friends does. (Thanks Grumb for that source.)

point the tip of the dropper bottle down and squeeze gently.

I have transferred all of my paints to dropper bottles if they didn\'t come that way, and have my wash and plain water in dropper bottles too.

They are cheap from Western Plastics.
