How Do You?

I have noticed that some memebrs have their painting position in their signature. Now my question is how have you guys got it there, and does it automatically update?

Thanks in advance.

You go to \"Your Account\" and you\'ll see something like this:
You are ranked # out of # artists. You can add this rank dynamically to your website like this:
< IMG SRC=http://www.coolminiornot.com/rank.php?name=Yourname>

So you can just copy and paste into your signature from there, it\'ll update automatically.
Hope this helps! :p

How do you post pics in these messages?

Easy....

Just explore the boxes above the text box you are writing in. Fifth box inserts picture as a hyperlink. Seventh box inserts picture directly.
You can always just give us the url.
Basically I use a mixture of all three.

Mr Munkie...

1) Get the url of your picture...

2) Enter the forums and open a dialogue box. Just like I am typing into now....

3) Click on the 7th little box above the box you are typing into...

4) Paste your url into the dialogue box that then appears

Voila!

*EDIT* If you want to look at the html workings... just try to \'edit\' this post and you will see the code..

Check out the BB codes in the forum FAQ

I figured out how to do it just the other day. Since the forums use BB codes instead of HTML you need to use square brackets around the img tag to get it to interpret correctly. You can access the FAQ from the main forums page.

I\'d put the code in here, but it would just get interpreted and the image would appear instead of the text.

Good luck.

You shouldn\'t actually have to use BB code...this is what is looks like for me in my signature:
<IMG SRC=http://www.coolminiornot.com/rank.php?name=Nelson>

so just substitute Atacam for Nelson and it should be all right. :)

EDIT: Aha, were you copying and pasting from what Chrispy supplied? Because his tag has a space between the \"<\" and the \"IMG\" which messes it all up. Try copying and pasting mine.

Yeah, sorry about that, I was thinking that if I put the code in, it would show the image and not the string. But I told you to go to your account and copy and paste!! No short cuts for you!! :p

Each time I paste into the \'something about you\' box. I press update info and the text dissapears. Why is this? My sig pic is still there.

I see the problem, you\'re trying to do it from Your Account. That\'s where you get the code, then you have to go to Edit Profile in the forums here and paste it into your signature. If it\'s still not working, I think you can turn off the BB code by clicking next to your signature.

Edit: I just did it, and it works fine...
