How late is too late?

Nah - it's never too late.
As for good ideas, well I'm fresh out of them when it comes to GD. The restriction to use only GW stuff takes the wind right out of my sails haha.

If your going to start this late then pick up the newest release. Some new dark elder models came out and tomb kings just before that. Let's face it the judges are biased and will pick something that will generate more sales. Or they will lean to something that they haven't seen 100 times already at the show. Good luck.

well if you wait till the 9th July you've got some new scencery/terrian pieces to use for a diorama. Failing that go for LotR as it was under-represented last year.

Realistically I'm trying to work out the least represented categories that require the least work though I didn't do too bad in the WFB single mini category last year, I seem to remember LOTR category being under represented, what were the other week ones last year. I do have an idea but it's high risk as it would involve some sneaky parts harvesting or press moulding of other manufactures

I was told that LoTR squads is very lightly contested. That's what I'm aiming for, providing I actually finish it haha

Hey we can cooperate! I have three entries ready for the GD, but unfortunately I can not go to the Gamesday this year because my dad celebrates his 60th birthday just on this weekend... Damn it!

Lol I don't think I'm quite up to winning any demons just yet mike, as long as I get close again I'll be happy

Well Good Luck.

I for one have opted not to waste any more of my time or money on "Games Day" especially after last years appauling cr*p organisation.
£30 + £12 coach cost, thats money I could spend better elsewhere.

Coach was only £12 lucky git! I'm thinking off using it as a stopping off point on my way north, might come see Brett and Ryan afterwards work dependant. I would in the years to come to try out some of the european conventions.

Don't forget the Salute comp in April in London. They've just added the Crystal Brush flights for 1st place amongst the prizes. Might be worth a dip?

It certainly sounds like a fun day out, I'd considered it this year but didn't go, maybe in 2012 :)

Cheers, B.

Do a diorama of one of the guys sitting on a thrown looking at what appears from his side to be a giant video monitor, but is actually a window, and some orks fighting some marines on the other side.
