How long do pictures usually need to be confirmed?

Hi.

The title says it pretty much: How long do pictures these days usually wait before being visible to the public?

Usually it is just a few hours, but for some reason my latest one took more than 24. May be that the approval people are busy in RL.

Yea, I uploaded it yesterday at high noon and now its a day later at late evening. Last time had been taken 2 days, that's why I'm wondering if that is the average time or if I'm just unlucky. No offense, I know how busy moderators can be (personal experience), just curious.

His CMoN job haha! Work (one time consuming factor) , one pair of hands (You can only do so much at a time). Yeah, there are other mods that approve pics; and yeah It's usually pretty speedy. Patience, young one!

Keep in mind that post-GD there is likely to be a larger than usual number of submissions too. If you're an Ebay seller, probably worth keeping in mind for the odd weeks pause every now & again :)

Cheers, B.

Is this your RL job or your CMON job? And if it is CMON, I thought we had more than one approver for pics?

Yeah, we do. It's just that I've not been doing it for a while (kinda got burned out), and our other mods have gotten busy with RL, that leaves poor Dragonsreach to hold down the fort.

I'll start doing it again on a regular basis to help out.

Yeah, I have been really busy lately unfortunately and haven't helped out like I used to. As many projects come to an end this weekend and the next week, I'll be a more contributing member from now! :)

Sadly its the one that pays the bills and supports my addiction.
Currently down to two people on my team due to illness and family bereavement. So this weeks been pretty savage.
Plus I've lost access from work, thanks to a particularly blinkered, insulting and patronising network filter.

well im sure if you guys are buggered down by RL stuff that maybe adding an additional hand to help here would be useful.

And yes Vikey, you truly can be that transparent :p w/ love

Yeah, I thought about offering to help with the approvals, but I fear that I'd be much much worse in putting in some time.

Course, not like it would cut into my painting time... unless we start discussing the possibilities of negative time.

And just to clarify since it has been bothering me, I wasn't making a swipe at how long it was taking or who was slacking on approvals. My post could be read snarky-ish, and that wasn't intended; just an actual honest question.

I was thinking more of that trick where one can connect to a site via its IP# rather than the URL, not sure if it would work for this though.
