And thus does matty prove that he is actually a right-handed painter. :p

Yes, we\'ve been over this topic before, including the Post-Your-Work-Area one. Nothing like the smell of a fresh coat of paint, hm? :D

I\'m sure we had a topic like this before.

According to \"Science\"

Lefties are more creative, because the right side of the brain that holds the creative thinking is bigger on a left handed person.

:D

I am not left-brained or right-brained; I work from that crack in them middle.

Sorry, no help to the leftie stats from me. My left hand is pretty much just there to make me look symmetrical and hold whatever mini I\'m working on. :D

:DI paint with my right hand, but can do other crafting with both hands (needlepoint etc.).

My dad was a lefty and use to tell horror stories about teachers in school trying to make him use his right hand....they had those hard wood rulers to whack him across the knuckles. Now that was child abuse!:flame:

I normally use my right hand but I can do stuff with my left hand almost as good. Can you teach yourself to be ambidextrous? I had someone asking if I was a left-hander trying to write with my right hand. I said I didn\'t think so, my handwriting\'s just pretty awful!

While technically you can not teach yourself to be ambidextrous, you can more or less teach yourself to use the non dominate hand near as well as the main. But this is through training not natural brain dominance thingies so it is technically not ambidexterity.

Paint with my left.
Use a mouse with my right.
Write with my left.
Use scissors with my right.
Use a fork with my left.
Use a knife with my right.
Sports involving swinging something with both hands like in baseball, cricket, hockey or golf I swing leftie.
Sports involving swinging something with one hand like in tennis, bowling, or racquetball I swing with my right hand.
I catch and throw like a right-hander.
Shoot right-handed.
Kick with right foot.

I actually met another person once who did all of the above with the same handedness I did. We thought it was freaky.

Oh yeah, and I drink with both hands.

I\'m right handed but left eye dominant, that can be a pain in the arse at times when painting.

@MPJ---
That\'s the dream of every golfer...to be cross-eye dominant....
The reasoning for the right-hander (and vice versa for left)...
You swing with your left side toward your target, and while keeping your head behind the ball and turned slightly right, you\'re looking across your nose to see the ball during your backswing....

However, if the closer eye is dominate (the left for right handers), then you don\'t have the obstruction like \"normal\" right handers-----and *supposedly* have better \"golf-coordination\"....:D
