How many minis did you paint in your career?

Hi there!
Last night i was wandering about how many minis i pianted in my career and i estimated a number between 200 and 400, considering my own minis, commissions and similar.

what about you?

I am very new to this , I have painted exactly 14 , on to my 15th and trying to take a good picture of my 13th mini to start showing on here but my camera is pants .

Probably close to 1500. Most of those were in the last 3 years. I have three zip disks full of pics.
I paint no less than 10 minis per week.
With all that practice it seems I should be better than I am. But I broke into the nmm craze only grudgingly and am still playing catch-up.

I\'m a slow painter. I\'ve been painting since about 2000, but I really take my time. Not that it makes my mini any better, mind you.

I have painted

20 skelies w/spears
20 night gobs w/spears
20 dwarf warriors
10 dwarf rangers
10 dwarf thunderers
7 dwarf longbeards
3 bretonnian knights
10 bretonnian archers
16 Orc boys, which will eventually be turned into bits
3 dwarf slayers
4 empire great swords
1 warrior priest
1 empire mounted captain
1 empire war wagon
10 archived dwarfs
10 archived goblins

recently started painting Reaper stuff also:

1 sir Malcom, Templar
1 Dwarf Warrior
1 Hell Hound

And Ikore:

1 Shieldmaiden
2 Elven archers

There is some other stuff thrown in there. On top of that I have at least as much stuff that is half painted.

I also recently discovered the joy of converting. Altering minis is so much fun. This is sure to slow down my mini production to a snail\'s pace. Last night I spent an hour altering the hand of a run of the mill, plastic night goblin archer so it looks like he\'s giving the bird. It\'s not original, but it\'s funny.

Most of the minis I have painted, were done BEFORE I started selling figures to others. And most would rate a 6 or 7 on CMON.

Including those would bring the count over 1000, but not more than 1300 I would guess...

I have actually only done a few dozen in the last year. But that\'s because most are for display.

The most I ever painted at a time, was army painting style, 34 night goblins.:|~

I have prepared: hundreds
I have painted dozens and dozens:flip:
Pre-CMON I was happy with 10-20:bouncy:
Post-CMON I am happy with 1-2:duh:

I\'d guess i\'ve painted around 40-50\'ish and i\'ve been painting since september 2002.. most of them are some characters for friends\' armies. So my display shelf is about 20 minis But it will probably rise up to 30 next week.. school break for one week.. nearly too much painting, i just hope my eyebrows don\'t go V-shaped lol

300 or so - most of the ones at home are going into the dip though after hanging out here - then there\'s the 1500 or so waiting to be painted.

Well, I have 54 posted on CMON, plus a few more painted \"recently\" (since I finished undergrad, in 96) which are not good enough to post.

Funny thing is, CMON membership has definitely increased my output, as well as the quality of the paint jobs. I guess an \"audience\" is a pretty good motivation...

I would concur with this, but that seems to be 2 more than I have finished.....

124, I started in 98 when I was 12. My only excuse is that models and supplies are prohibitively expensive to one with no money.

Well I just did the math and I think I have painted well over 3000 figures. I mean I have had 10 2000+pt 40k armies, 3 Fantasy armies, plus commisions, plus Confrontation, plus my other games. I think maybe 5000+ no wonder I am a virgin!

I\'ve been painting models of different types since about 1968/9.

If you include the old Airfix HO figures which were the first minis (figures) I ever painted the numbers will be in the thousands.

I only have two painted Airfix figures left the rest dissapeared in house moves, marriage and other minor inconveniences
