What can I say? I like to paint. I also like a great deal of verity to choose from. Paints, miniatures, RTV rubber, resin, and ammo are the only things I spend money on. It's a good life.

I stay nice & frosty.

Ah that is a common fantasy shared by many middle aged married men to wit their spouses suddenly decide yes you can buy what you want with your hard earned cash. In reality this only ever happens for small amounts and just prior to the dreaded phrase we (note the we bit really means she) need a new kitchen/ bathroom etc.

Yep teething!

Sounds good to me! Now if I could only convince the wife I would probably do the same.

Surely you use the same strategy as the rest of us... sneak 'em into the house and then convince here that you've had them all along.

(My name is Oz and I too am a pigmentaholic. Its been 4 days since I last bought a paint and, to be honest, its been a struggle...)

My wife's shoe closet is filled with boxes of shoes - or so she thinks. Some day she will find out and I will simply disappear. Btw, I can stop any time I want... Maybe.

Keep telling yourself that... If I'd known 20 years ago that this nice creative hobby was going to be similar to having a crack addicition, I might just have settled for the drugs.

My wife commented the other day that we may need to lease the apartment next door to house the miniatures. I'm not sure if that was a gentle way of saying that I have to move out.

Yeesh, tell me about it. I moved house on Monday there, and seeing aaaaaaall my minis, paints, resin, airbrush etc etc all piled up together in the middle of the room was kinda scary. Like, damn, people, I need a whole room to keep my stuff in. At least crack is compact...

I probably have over 100, I just know I've run out of space for them all.

There is a trick to it. I'm not sure how, but did manage to get her to let me travel from Bahrain to the US for a painting weekend . . . . .

Plus she does let me buy paints . . . . I'm sure she is storing up these favours for something . . . .

Probably around 80-ish. Used to have alot more but my brother yoinked all my GW paints. Not that I really mind, was a nice excuse to buy more Vallejo and Army Painter:mad-tongue:

WAY TOO MANY! Over 300. Oils, acrylics, enamels, inks, airbrush paints, what can I say - I like paints!

I'm probably in the 100-150 range. Currently split maybe 60-40 between GW and Vallejo with some Coat d'arm and Reaper floating around. A relatively new convert to Vallejo after ModelZone in Holborn shut down and were doing £1 bottles. Kind of went a bit mental on that one......
