How many skulls could gw sculpt if gw could sculpt skulls?

and i\'m sure it will never stop!

personally, i like a certain amount of remains but that includes other bones, the skull is a small portion of the human body

Finally saw some pics. I\'m sure you could just place some scenery over where the skulls are. A hill or forest could cover them up pretty easily. You could fill them in with something, putty, resin. You could also put a layer of plasticard over it and etch it like a ruined road or something.

It is a bit odd. I guess in the warhammer world the mantle has been replaced by skulls.. like this:

Of course this doesn\'t explain all of the Lava bases out there.

But it is the coolest one!

I\'m more partial to a good Femur..they make great clubs and look awesome when you toss them into the sky!

As for skulls, remember when your off rampaging and pillaging you don\'t bring back the torso.. just the head..and maybe the hands..cause severed hands are just creepy..

Umm they come with the head.. well unless you leave the head behind and just take the ears.. Ear Necklaces are back in fashion after all.

The weird thing about all the skulls lying around is that none of them have the mandible attached. Where did all the jawbones go?

Sigmar used a Skaven jawbone to kill a bunch of rats, and then some crazy guy stuck that jawbone to the end of his staff. But that doesn\'t explain where the rest of them went.

Quovandius has a jawbone on his own belt, but it\'s his own jawbone and doesn\'t count. Mutant lepers have a way of screwing everything up.

Oh look now it\'s obviously a daemonic infestation by the awesome Blood God of Khorne. And Khorne skulls do NOT have jawbones because that is lame. Come on guys, be a bit mature now...

i dont really think it will matter as the people who dont want the skulls will tend to be more experienced in the hobby, and will know how to just fill them up with pollyfiller, or turn them into pools os water or whatever

the skull pits are self perpetuating too, think how many tourists go to visit the skull-pits, then their jaws drop at the sight, then they faint and fall into the pit as they realise their jaws dropped off.

thre is always a logical explanation

They ruin it for everybody with their excessive use of skulls on everything!! I definitely think that skulls can be used quite effectively for decoration and creating a certain atmosphere. But not heaps of skulls on every single miniature and every single piece of ground work for basing etc.

Thanks to GW, I now feel slightly embarrassed every time I put a skull on a base. :(

Ritual, I think you\'ve missed the boat here. There is a war going on, a mini 28-30mm scale war! As a proud GW supporter I do NOT want to be left short in the skulls category when this turns into a full fledged shooting war.

Privateer Press, Rackham, you name them, they\'re all gearing up for the skull proliferation and I feel GW needs to actually do more if they\'re to maintain they\'re skull development edge. I hear even reaper had their skull casting facility in North Korea go live this fall...

In order to do my part I actually \"Skull UP\" my GW models so as to help show others that we can all do our part to maintain skull supremacy for GW.

So keep up the good work GW, and don\'t forget people that YOU are not limited to the measly 5-23 skulls per model scuplted for you. Do your part.... TODAY!

Just got back from my local GW and had to post on this thread...

They had some of the game boards in question out on display, I was recounting the majority of this thread to the staff and we were all having a good laugh...

About ten minutes later, the store is deathly quiet... one lone 8 year old kid comes in... wanders around, walks up to the game board... stares at it for a few moments, and then asks the staff \"Why are all these cracks filled with skulls? That\'s not very realistic is it?!\"

We all p*ssed ourselves, the poor kid probably thought we were laughing at him.

Anyway... glad to see it\'s not JUST CMONer\'s who think it\'s a bit OTT :)
