How to do "brown" Orcs.

Greetings,

This is my first post here, so I hope I ended up in the right subforum.

I have been wanting to do Orc skin similar to the one seen on the Mag'har Orcs from the Warcraft universe, but I am not really sure on how to achieve the specific look. I would say that I am a good painter, but I rarely stray from my comfort zone, and this is certainly new grounds for me.

This is the look I am aiming for:

My plan was to do the inner layer as Hull Red (Vallejo Air), and then work from there, but I feel that all my browns are somehow lacking that warm, almost orangey glow.

Any and all help will be grateful accepted.

Best regards,
Andreas

hull red is too dark and too red imho.
I'd rather pic a lighter brown (es something simple as VGC Bestial brown) and highlight it toward VMC-Medium Flesh (has an orange tinge to it) through an orange brown (like VGC Scurflous brown).

When finished I may /may not glaze it with some dark red-brown (here you could use a very diluted hull-red) or purple (also diluted enough to make thing darker, not purple)

maybe start with a basic flesh-tone,.. and then lightly glaze with various oranges and/or browns until you achieved the desired effect?
