How to make Martian scorched wasteland.

I want to share a guide with you of how to make Martian scorched wasteland.

In general, everything is simple.

I covered parts of bases with some Vallejo’s Desert Sand texture paste, primed them and spread a thick coat of GW Citadel’s Agrellan Earth over the remaining parts.

As soon as the Agrellan Earth has dried and cracked, I airbrushed the bases brown.

After that I applied Nuln Oil Shade.

I drybrushed the bases at first with orange and then with light orange. Curiously enough, it was Vallejo’s Dwarf Skin that suited me.

In the end I covered the bases with matt varnish and grass flock.

I used the same technique for the large base of OnagerAdeptusMehanicus.

That sand mix looks finer than typical sand. May have to get some for CAV robot basing.

I used ordinary sand before and was really happy when I came across this sand texture paste. It has made my life a lot easier. So I can recommend it now.
