How to Photoshop your mini pics...

Mick you have an image size of about 600 at teh moment and it looks like you might have been quite close to the image when you took the shot as it looks a bit grainy.

If you resizze it to about 400 (pixels wide) it will look a lot better.

Does anyone know if these same techniques can be used with photoshop elements?

Photoshop Elements is an excellent program for the money, and all the Levels and selection stuff works just fine.

Now I just need to find out how you merge two (or more) pictures so I can have the front and the back view in one single file, as you have shown last in your exellent tutorial.
Any help anyone???

What I do is crop and edit each pic individually and save the copies. Its always good practice to work on copies and keep the original photos un touched.
I then create a blank white image that is large enough to take the others combined.
Then I simply copy and paste each image over to the blank one to create the montage.
Then I use the rectangle selection tool to crop the montage to the correct area then resize it for the web.
Then save it.

Photoshop elements has a great Photomerge feature. Select [new] and [photomerge]. You can arrange the pics to how you want them aligned up and then create it as a new pic.

This is what I do with the pics for Kublacon

Hoorah this is really helpful.Sort of been figuring it out as I go just got photoshop from a friend of a friend..(ahem...)
This step by step with the actual model is so much easier to follow than the photoshop tute with the gimp in the hat.
Nice one really nice....
Any suggestions on how to add close up shots like the ones you see in white dwarf with a circle zooming on the detail ??????????????
