how to prime vinyl

any ideas on what primers to use for priming a vinyl + resin model? prefably something you could simply find at a hardware store.

Autoprimer, cheap and effective and just the tool for the job

Good news is you can just prime it like everything else - clean first, make sure it's thoroughly dry and then shoot primer.

Not-so-good news is that depending on the structure of the kit you might want to fill any lower limbs to prevent sag over time.
